THE LOVE OF GOD!

Unless we pray there are those who will never be saved. Unless we repent, unless we forgive and until we hold on to God and stand in the gap there are those who will never come to Jesus. There are many who never will be healed. God needs all of us to become willing to pray. This kind of praying comes because of Jesus love and will give us the key to shaking our city for Him. A great move of God is born with us on our face before Him. Then we must bring them forth from our inner being as is said of the true mother in Kings 1, v3. “Her bowls yearned upon her son ." For she told Solomon to give her living child to the other woman. Her sacrifice was great but the reward was having her baby back.
OH LOVE OF GOD. HOW RICH! HOW PURE! HOW MEASURELESS AND STRONG. IT SHALL FOREVER ENDURE THE SAINTS AND ANGELS SONG!!
Love forgets a person’s past sins and failures and considers them to be under the Blood of Jesus.
Luke 15, 4-7 Jesus spoke this parable to the tax collectors and the sinners while the Pharisees and the scribes were complaining. His words were, “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the 99 in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays the little lost sheep on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors saying to them, “Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost”. I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.
There was a gap in the fench and suddenly the little sheep went through the gap and got lost. Then the little sheep starts wandering far away from the flock. We know exactly what the shepherd did. He left the ninety and nine and went out on the rock steep all night and through the heat and the cold until he found that one lost sheep. He bound him with cords of love and brought him safely back to the fold. CHORDS OF LOVE conquers everything.
Prayer changes things!
About a hundred years ago a woman was praying for her city and family when suddenly she saw before her eyes a missionary in Africa lying as if dead and she started praying for this man as the Holy Spirit came upon her. She was filled and started speaking in an unknown tongue. When she had finished she saw the man rise up and go forward. Brother Burton was doing God’s work in the Congo when at the time he became deathly ill. He was going with other men into a new area to plant a church. The other men with Burton looked at him and knew he was dead, they were upset but decided they must go on with God’s work. It wasn’t long and then they heard someone coming up behind and there was Brother Burton. Much alive as you or me! He said, “From my head right down there came a warm feeling through my body and here I am perfectly well”. Here this woman had been praying for him in another part of the world. OH LOVE OF GOD HOW RICH! HOW PURE! HOW MEASURELESS AND STRONG.
Peter commanded, “See that you love one another with a pure heart”. Then John said.” But who hath this world’s goods and sees his brother have need and shuts up his bowels of compassion from Him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? We can make a difference everywhere if you will love one another with the love of God that he shed abroad in our hearts by His Spirit. Love is the choice of doing the highest good for someone. Love is the bond of perfectness (Col 3:14)
Love is expressed when it comes from the heart. Love begins with a thought. Love looks at a subject and creates an interest. Love looks at a person and says, “I like that person, and I want to be good to him or her”.
THE DELIVERING POWER OF LOVE SPRINKLED WITH KINDNESS
This happened several years ago in my nation of America. This is about a young man named Bob who never realized the impact he would have on someone else’s life through an act of Love with Kindness.
Bob begins his story by saying when he was a freshman in high school. He saw a kid from his class walking home from school, this kids name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books. Bob thought to himself, “Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday?” I’ve got a big weekend planned so he just decided to walk away without offering any help. After Bob had walked a distance he turned around and saw a bunch of kids running toward Kyle knocking all his books out of his arms and tripped him so he landed in the dirt. Kyle’s glasses flew up in the air and landed in the grass about 10 feet away. Then Bob saw the terrible pain and tears in Kyle’s eyes while his heart went out to him. Bob handed him his glasses and said, “Those guys are jerks. They really should get a life”. Kyle looked at Bob and said, “Hey thanks!” There was the biggest smile on his face. It was one of those smiles which would last a lifetime. Bob helped pick up his books and asked where he lived. As it turned out, he lived near so Bob asked why he had never seen him before. Kyle said he had gone to a private school. Bob had never hung out with a private school kid before. They talked all the way home. Kyle turned out to be a pretty cool fellow also and asked if he would like to join in practicing football. He said yes! They hung out all weekend together and the more Bob got to know Kyle the more he liked him. And Bob’s friends felt the same.
Over the next four years Kyle and Bob became friends. When they were seniors, they began to think about college. Kyle decided on Georgetown and Bob decided on Duke University. They knew they would always be friends and that the miles would never be a problem. Kyle was going to be a doctor and Bob had chosen the business world.
Kyle studying had gotten him the honour of being the head of his class. He then had to prepare a speech for graduation. On graduation day Kyle looked great. He was one of those guys that had really found himself during high school. He filled out and actually looked good in glasses. He had more dates than Bob and all the girls loved him. Kyle came to Bob before he gave his speech smiled and told how much he appreciated and thanked him again. Bob could see that he was nervous about his speech and then he smacked him on the back and said, “Hey big guy, you’ll be great!”
As Kyle started his speech clearing his throat and began, “Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years. Your parents, teachers, siblings, or maybe a coach….but mostly your friends. I am here to say that being a friend to someone is the best gift you can ever give or be. I want to tell you a true story that happened to me.
Bob just looked at his friend with disbelief as he told the story of the first day they met. Kyle said he had planned to kill himself over the weekend. He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his mom wouldn’t have to do it later and was carrying all his books home. He looked hard at Bob and gave him a smile.
“Thankfully, I was saved. My friend Bob saved me from doing the unspeakable”
Hearing the crowd gasps this handsome popular boy told everyone all about his weakest moment. Kyle’s mom and dad were looking at Bob and smiling. Not until that moment had Bob realized the depth of what had been done several years ago by stopping and picking up those books.
What an awesome thing that Love and Kindness does!! What a fruit of blessing it is to those who need it the most! Love sprinkled with Kindness is the outflow of God’s love and grace in the first degree.
Can we truly understand love and kindness as reflects through the Good Samaritan and Boaz?
The Good Samaritan through love and kindness helped a man who had fallen among thieves and had been left for dead. Instead of passing by and thinking only to help him as an afterthought he acted immediately to bind his wounds, to pour in the oil and wine and carry him to safety and pay his bill while asking nothing in return. And if that wasn’t enough …..as he pays the innkeeper he says,…”.whatsoeve
Boaz delivered Ruth through the power of Love and kindness…leaving the handfuls of gleaning in her path that led to the kingdom and the lineage of Jesus Christ.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF LOVE?
God is love! God wants us to improve each of us so He can bless us! If we do not handle love rightly, then everything will be out of sort. If we are not motivated by love it’s certain we can be corrupted by the enemy lurking everywhere to destroy us. Failure to love is a form of abandonment. It says I don’t care how you turn out. It says your life is unimportant to me. It says I am selfish, I don’t want to get involved. God requires us to love because in doing so we become partners with God in the saving and redeeming of the human race. When we love our children, our spouses, our neighbours, our friends then we are showing them Jesus love in us.
Love begins in our heart. It can begin with a thought and love looks at a subject and creates an interest. Love looks at a person and says, “I like that person and I want to be good to him or her”.
What do you do when you love? When you love, you care. Love penetrates hostile environments. Love reaches out, love does favours that can never be repaid. Love shows appreciation for things that go unnoticed, runs errands, expects nothing in return, wanting others to prosper, seek the goods of others. Love makes a man build up his wife and a loving man nourished his wife as a loving woman nourishes her husband.
Love doesn’t seek to destroy nor does it condemn or show harshness, is kind, is tender, is positive, love forgives faults, it shows space for improvement, it tolerates a lot of things that otherwise would be intolerable. Love bears with people that nobody else would care for, love gives third and fourth chances. Love wants it all to work out and will spend everything to make it happen.
Love never gives up!!!
You can be religious, go to church, sing in the choir, teach a Sunday school class, but if you don’t live by love you are a sounding brass and a tinkling cymbal. You can drive a nice car and live in a nice house but if you don’t love others your life is a selfish disaster just waiting to happen.
It won’t take long until everything we ever are has gone and we are forgotten—with one exception. We will continue to live in the hearts of those we have loved. If we have loved God we will find ourselves forever in Him. As if we have loved others we will be remembered forever by those we have loved.
Many of us have left our first love, repent and get on with life. LOVING THE WAY JESUS LOVED IS THE ONLY WAY WE ARE GOING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR WORLD.
Know this! Unbelievers are headed in the fast lane straight for hell and they only can be rescued by the power of God. We must get something fresh from God and reach people every day. We must reach out to them with love and kindness. We must pray until the bonds are broken, until we bring in every lost sheep until we rescue those lost sheep. Thousands of lost souls are dying with not conviction of their lost condition simply because we have lacked convictions about them going to hell.
OH LOVE OF GOD. HOW RICH, HOW PURE!!!
In the book of 2 Timothy, Paul writes young Timothy encouragement and spiritual direction. He is thinking of Timothy’s heritage and how and what he is going to do with his life and direction.
11 Tim 1:5-7 “When I call to remembrance the unfeigned (genuine) faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. Wherefore I put thee in rememberance that thou stir up the gift of God which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
Paul told Timothy “Stir up that gift which is inside of you”…this thought behind it was the gift would be like a fire that might have been burned out and Paul was saying…….it&rsqu
For God so loved, for He so loved the world. He loves us all that’s why He gave us His son Jesus and sent Him to be with us and allowed Him to die for each and every one of you. It’s not about fine buildings, or fine cars, or about how much money you can make in a lifetime. It’s about the love of God and what that love can do for you and how that love will help you when times are tough, when times are ok. It’s the love of God! How sweet and how pure is the love of God that’s in us.
LOVE AND KINDNESS
In the Thailand there is a precious grandmother age of 90. They call her Taw Bow which means in English “Always”. The missionaries call her Grandma Always because of her love and kindness. She isn’t much to look at with her bent over back and gnarled fingers and hands with arthritis and she often stands to the side and is quiet. She still works as a house servant and makes about 5 cents a day. Every Sunday she walks 2 miles to church and when the offering is taken she Always gives a days wages and if they have a guest speaker or a special project she gives another days wages for the cause. After service the missionaries drive her home and Always gets out, bows her head, and says a prayer of blessing over them. One missionary said, “Just the thought of Grandma Always being here and expressing her love to us with her kindness and faithfulness humbles and deepens me”.’
