Wow! It’s almost time to wish one and all a grand and marvelous 2010. Seems like it was just a day ago when we started 09 and now soon just a memory.

Update on Wind of the Spirit Ministries. We continue to stand amazed and “Look at what the Lord has done”. I truly believe in my heart if you’re willing to be used by God then He will cause doors to open and He will thrust you forward. Early in the year Pastor Vossey, “Jesus for Africa” invited us to minister at his fellowship in Port Elizabeth S. Africa.

God is so good He allowed me to finish my 2nd book, “Flying in on a Wing and a Prayer”. Antionette had great favor as she secured the Barkly Street Theatre here in Uitenhage for the book launch. “I Plead the Blood over Me” in its second printing. The “Blood” book gives you the victory and “Flying in” is all about touching God with faith. (Bring up the poster then pictures from launch and play, “coming in on a wing and a prayer) Wind then travelled to Bloemfontein bringing the Cinderella workshop to ladies who came from near and far to enjoy and receive more of God.  A big “God Bless You” to Wanda who spoiled us at her Corporate Boutique Hotel in Bloemfontein as well as hosting the ladies at the Hotel.   Thelma DuToit you deserve a big medal. Thelma wanted us to come into her area for several years and God used her and doors that previously had been closed just opened. Thank you ladies so much!  Bloemfontein we love you! Go on with God ladies!!!!!!

Pastor Ronald Moses with Fig Tree Ministries from Kissi Kenya this year invited us to come to his nation Kenya and minister. This time Johann, Antionette husband came along. Both Johann and Antionette taught during the days while I ministered at the Healing meetings at night. Those Kenyans got the full nine yards as I always say. Johann and Antionette were busy teaching in the morning and afternoon and God was busy with me and them at night. The harvest was ready as we experienced God’s presence with 300 receiving Jesus Christ. I ordained 6 ministers the last Sunday morning while in Kissi. Comments were, “I’ve never seen women like Antionette and Barbara preach like this before”. The Kenya trip was extra tough especially travelling from Nairobi to Kissi in a minibus 6 hours one way. Roads were very unpleasant with large pot holes in the road for at least 45 miles. Our little rented cottage was adequate but no hot water. Johann managed to take cold showers every night commenting, “it reminded him of his army days”. I asked him if he would be doing cold showers when he arrived back home, “not on your life Barbara” he replied.  “Wonderful”! Johann said when back at home in S. Africa, “My shower water is hot, thank you Jesus”!  Nevertheless we were so grateful for what God did for His people in Kenya and thankful to be back home again.

Christmas is one time of the year when it manages to get most of our attention and our thoughts turn to the “miracle of the manager and baby Jesus. When we reflect on the Christmas manager it brings hope and gladness to our hearts and a special meaning that things will work out. The 6th annual Christmas Red Carpet High Tea theme, “Jesus is the Only Reason for the Season”.  With God’s help Antionette organized the most beautiful Christmas High Tea I think I have ever seen. Speaking from an American I say Well done Antionette!. You really outdid yourself this year. She spent countless hours on the phone calling ones near and far for their prayers, help and support.   Uitenhage sports centre held the Christmas function.  The tables, draping, music, tablecloths, covers for the tables, eats, sound equipment, ones to sponsor the tables, staff to assist, securing her daughter Lani's plane ticket to fly from Durban  here and then back home, finding a Santa suit for Johann her husband. The Christmas tables were each and every one outstanding. God Bless you for such a job well done!  Lots of lucky draws this year and every person who sponsored a table was blessed with a gift from the Georgiou spa in Port Elizabeth. “House and Garden” magazine Cape Town blessed all those in attendance. Annque gave special gifts also. The most beautiful cake I have ever seen made by Shamien owner of     one lucky young man won this cake. I know he had plenty of good eating. Vouchers came from Hair Craft Salon in Uitenhage and Butterfly Haven a beauty salon also from Uitenhage. Through all this Christmas merriment we always honour our Lord and King Jesus Christ. This is the most awesome miracle of all times the birth of our saviour. For indeed like the Wise Men of old we still seek Him as they followed the Star to baby Jesus.  Antionette Christmas shop once again is open and is beautiful. The most beautiful Nativity sets, angels, wreaths, Christmas balls to hang on the tree, crystal, outdoor lights, napkins, teddy’s that sing, stars that hang, and too much more than I can mention.

God willing and as we say in America, “If the creeks don’t rise”. Upcoming ministry trips next year into Pakistani and India and wherever else God opens a door for us to walk through. The advanced ministry school is now ready and has been launched in Kenya and we are ready to go tell and teach.

As the Christmas Evergreen Tree stood tall and displayed life throughout all seasons of the year we from Wind of the Spirit Ministries say, “May You and Yours experience a Very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year of 2010” as you stand tall in God. Seasons come and go and we look forward to this new season in 2010. From near and far we love you all of you are special friends. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!
