Mat 18:16, "BY THE MOUTH OF TWO OR THREE WITNESSES EVERY WORD SHALL BE ESTABLISHED"
God's word says, "By the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word shall be established."
One early morning in 1985, Kansas U.S.A., God spoke to Barbara Jennison - 'Name this ministry, "Wind of the Spirit".
Barbara said to God, "That's fine, but God, it must be confirmed just as your word says." And indeed, it was confirmed - not by one, but by two prophetic songs from heaven.
It took three years (from 1985 to 1988) for the ministry to be established with full non-profit status.
On November 4, 1988, incorporated in the State of Kansas, United States of America, Wind of the Spirit Ministries International came to be. The 2nd Witness to Wind of the Spirit's beginning came early in 1985. The first an answer from Heaven.
We share with you the second confirmation named "Wind No 2" It was copyrighted in 1988.
"Oh the Wind, yes the Wind of the Spirit is blowing, my Spirit, He has come. It's a wave that is rolling, yes it's a wave that is rolling across the land, Wind of my Spirit. Lift up your hands and catch the breeze of my Spirit. Let it blow across your face, across your heart, the Wind of my Spirit. Oh my Spirit, He has come, He has come, let the Wind of my Spirit blow on you."
Wind's purpose:
The purpose of this ministry is getting people to know Jesus. Our desire, wherever God sends us, is for all the people to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
God's Word: Preach, teach and know God's word as taken from the Bible.
Psalm 119:105 - "Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path"
Criteria 1. To be based on the Holy Trinity
God the Father, Jesus the Son of God and the Holy Spirit. Three in one!
1 John 5:6 "This is He who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness because the Spirit is Truth. "
1 John 5:7 " For there are three who bear witness in Heaven - the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. "
1 John 5:8 "And there are three that bear witness on earth - the Spirit, the Water and the Blood; and these three are agree as one."
Criteria 2. Prayer changes things!
James 5:16 - "The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."
Wind's foundation is based upon prayer.
Barbara's mother's favorite scripture - 2 Chron 7:14 - "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
The foundation for any nation, city, community or church to survive is humbling your knee before God Almighty in prayer and He (and only He) will heal our land. This ministry is based on prayer, prayer and more prayer!!!
Criteria 3. Organized and founded on non-profit status
Our purposes are:
- Evangelism
- Preaching
- Teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ on Radio, TV, at
churches, tent meetings, schools, workshops, seminars,
conferences
- Providing of religious literature and music
- Invest in the Gospel and expand contributions
Much has been said about the finances of some ministries. Barbara took guidance from two great American statesmen - Billy Graham and Oral Roberts. Wind's financial records are open for anyone to review.
God is our source - not man.
Mal 3:10,11 "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house and prove me now in this, says the Lord of Hosts. If I will not open for you the window of Heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it, (11) and I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field."
IS 55:10,11 "For as the rain and the snow comes down from Heaven and do not return there but water the earth and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, (11)so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth - it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish what I please and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it"
